Every product or service has an associated problem and this is one of the important factors when marketing your product or service with your website. Online many people do a search based on a problem they are experiencing, now that might not always seem like a problem. As an example, you want to replace your kitchen cupboards so you start searching online. The problem can be one of many, for instance they are old and outdated and you would like a new look. The problem is in this case you want a new look for yourself and feel comfortable or one of your friends have just redone their kitchen and you are feeling ‘out' and need to be with the conversation. No matter what the problem, it remains underlying to why the person is searching for a product or service. To get the lead and eventually the sale, the closer you are to solving the problem the best the better your chances become. This might seem unrealistic to many of you and I also had a hard time understanding the concept, but the more I worked with client websites increasing leads and sales the more apparent it became. The better you can identify and understand your potential client's problem the close you will be to getting the lead or sale. How do you know what the problems are? If you are selling your products or services to clients yourself just listen carefully at what they say and ask when you talk to them, the answers are all there. If you have a sales team get them all together and then record the conversation where each of them tells about their experiences and the questions they are asked. For the best results have the entire recording transcribed and then examine the information closely. Similar questions will point you in the right direction. To get the right answers, those are the answers that your potential clients want to hear, take the answers from the top sales people. As the best sales people they are certainly answering correctly to the client. Once you have all the information together you will know exactly what it is that your clients want to know and how to answer it. Make this all part of your copy for your website and you will be on your way to increasing leads and sales. |
